UCI are happy to announce the launch of two new ultra lightweight extreme cut resistant gloves to the market; the Typhan NX8 and Typhan XP2+.
Typhan NX8
The new Typhan NX8 encompasses a fine 15gg lightweight liner made from a specialist blend of high cut resistant fibres. A composite stainless steel core surrounded by a mixture of HPPE & polyester enables consistent very high levels of cut resistance, perfect for use in heavy industry applications where high cut resistance is required. This yarn makeup offers both tensile strength and a dulling action that is especially important when handling sheet metal.
The micropore sandy nitrile foam coating remains soft and comfortable and moulds to the contours of the hand for second skin like comfort levels. It offers excellent grip in dry, wet and especially oily conditions with little to no excess shedding from the coating.
Excellent 360 degree breathability throughout the glove. An additional reinforced thumb crotch has been added to protect an inherently weak area which can extend the life of the glove by up to 30%.
Typhan XP2+
The Typhan XP2+ works off the same liner as the Typhan NX8 and replicates the same excellent ISO cut E resistance and maintains a lot of the same excellent qualities such as the reinforced thumb crotch.
The XP2+ differs by offering a lighter weight PU coating to provide a greater level of tactility and dexterity to the user. Whereas the sandy nitrile coating sits on top of the coating, the PU coating is impregnated inside the liner for minimal thickness and greater feeling and maintain the grip levels throughout the usable life of the glove. A PU coating maintains excellent grip in dry applications but less so in wet or oily applications.
