Our Green Heart® sustainable range of personal protective equipment (PPE) is designed with the environment in mind. Every day, it is estimated that over 50 million earplugs are discarded into landfills around the world. In terms of weight, this represents over 60 metric tons per day! Whether it’s polyurethane (PU) or polyvinyl chloride (PVC), these earplugs will likely degrade only after many years (almost impossible to estimate), emitting methane gas (CH4) which is known to be more than 25 times as potent as carbon dioxide (CO2) at trapping heat in the atmosphere
